Church Ministry Services

Christian ministry can be fulfilling but it can also be stressful and draining. We offer a support service that is confidential and safe.

Candidate Assessment for Church Ministry Trainees

This is an in-depth psychological evaluation that assesses suitability for work in UK-based Christian ministry. The candidate completes a detailed questionnaire and then has a face-to-face interview. Areas assessed include psychological resilience, self-awareness, social awareness, teachability, leadership, and more. A written report is produced for the agency and the candidate and, where applicable, includes recommendations for the individual’s continued wellbeing. The interview lasts from one and a half to two and a half hours.

Fit For Work Assessment

This is helpful where someone has been off sick for an extended period of time, and agency and individual would like to know if they are fit to return to work. It comprises a full medical assessment and a psychological assessment. The combined report also includes advice about any changes that would need to be put in place.

Church Ministry Support

Christian ministry can be fulfilling but it can also be stressful and draining. We offer a support service that is confidential and safe with a Christian ethos. An initial 90-minute review identifies the key issues. It can cover work, mental health, spiritual wellbeing, family etc.

If further help is needed, then we can identify together what form that might take. It could be counselling, coaching, spiritual direction, or it might just be chatting and praying together.

Counselling Session

An online face-to-face confidential session with a professional counsellor to address difficult issues such as depression, anxiety, bereavement, trauma, and more. We can work with individuals or couples.

Psychological Therapy

Psychological therapy is the application of psychology to assess and treat a wide range of mental health problems, emotional and behavioural difficulties, and relationship issues. It includes psychological assessment, formulation, and a range of treatments including cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT). Psychological therapies are particularly useful for difficulties such as depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, panic attacks, phobias, burnout, anger, marriage and relationship problems, addictions, and more. CBT usually requires between 6 and 12 sessions.
